The main purpose of SBI is for the student to acquire the knowledge, skill and attitudes needed to enable them to serve as Christian workers, pastors, teachers, missionaries, counsellors and leaders in the Church, and also to serve the wider society in which God has called them. We aim to:
Offer theological training so that the students will acquire the biblical knowledge to develop the skills needed to equip them for the Christian ministry
Develop the characteristics and skills necessary for effective pulpit ministry and in the wider society
Develop well-rounded, maturing Christian lives mentally, spiritually and socially; lives that are consistent with the Word of God as the students come to a deeper understanding and a personal experience of the power of the Gospel through prayer, personal study of the Scripture, worship and Christian service.
Develop a desire in the students for continual learning and awareness of the educational, social, political and theological trends of the day, especially in the U.K.
